LipoVes® - Liposomes in Cosmetics

LipoVes® is the brand under which we market in Europe Nano Liposomal products (Nanosomes). In cosmetics the technique of liposomal encapsulation of cosmetic ingredients is performed with phospholipids (as liposomals or as nanoemulsions) and enables a more efficient and controlled transport of cosmetic active substances into the skin. We call our encapsulated products LipoVes®.

Phospholipids interact with the surface of the stratum corneum and thus can support the penetration of active ingredients into the skin. Unsaturated phospholipids are key molecules involved in the process of skin formation and skin renewal. As cosmetic active ingredients, they can significantly counteract the visible signs of skin aging on a cellular level.

However encapsulated phospholipids can do much more than being an effective tool to help skin absorb active cosmetic ingredients.

Nanosomes- Nano Liposomal Products

Nanosomes are nanoscale materials, generated by using natural, synthetic, and mixed or hybrid constituents.

Liposomes are in use due to their beneficial aspects including stability, biodegradability and self-assembled nanosized features of phospholipid mono- or bilayer with encapsulated active components.

As a nanocarrier, the inner aqueous space of liposomes permits a variety of molecules such as proteins, conjugated drugs and cosmetic actives. The outermost layer regularizes the process of endo/exocytosis to persuade Nanosomes.

Definitely our LipoVes® are very small:

A typical human hair is about 0.05mm thick–this equals 50’000 nm. So the particle size is 5’000 times smaller than a human hair.
